Welcome XC pilots from all over the world !
Once again we’re here to invite you pilots for the greatest FLY and FUN Cross Country event in the world ! And now with a special feature: Quixadá now is "THE HOME OF THE WORLD RECORD" !!
For the first time in the history 3 pilots has broken the world record flying and landing together. During the XCeará 2007, Marcelo Prieto, Rafael Saladini and Frank Brown got the amazing spot of 461,8km, reaching the NEW Cross Country World Record !
Congratulations for them and also for Quixadá, that has now definitely written it’s name in the free flying history.
Now, over the amazing rate of 100% of flyable days out of 12 years in a row, XCeará also holds the Male and Female World Cross Country Paragliding records!
The XCeará numbers today are:
- 461,8 km - NEW WORLD PARAGLIDING RECORD - Marcelo Prieto, Rafael Saldini e Frank Brown (Brasil)
- 302 Km - World Female Paragliding Record – Petra Krausova (Czech Rep)
- 452 km - South American Hang Gliding Record - André Wolf (Brasil)
NEWS FOR 2008:
Due the extreme long flights that Quixadá is providing yearly, we decided to extend the XC season for the whole November month, for those who wants to stay for a longer period. That means that we will start offering you pilots, the structure for the XC flights since November 1st. It will be the “Free Fly International Meetinhg”: From November 1st to 21st, our best retrieve team will already be there to provide pilots, good support for their long XC flights.
The season is now divided it in 2 sets
FREE FLY XC INTERNATIONAL MEETING
From November 1st to November 21st.
Designed for TEAMS and pilots who wants to stay for a longer period.
XCEARÁ 2008 - THE CROSS COUNTRY CLASSIC
From November 22nd to November 30th
For those whos love the spirit of the traditional XCeará event format with all facilities that it offers.
Recomended for pilots coming for the first time.
XCFF - XCeará Frequent Flyer Program
The “XC Frequent Flyer Program (XCFF)” was introduced 2 years ago to organize the few available places for the event and bring benefits to the frequent XCeará pilots, giving progressive discounts, now up to 20% on their registration fee.
Record holders and champions will also have discounts on the fee. Check the table on the XCFF box and find your rating.
